How to read GIB rates tables

The table is broken down to reflect the different time periods and levels of investment made, which should make it easy for you to compare different investments.  You can also select whether you want to investment for growth or income, and then income seekers can choose either monthly or annual income.

When looking at the investment you want to make, you will see 3 different rates quoted:

Standard Rate - This is the rate that you would receive if you invest directly with the stated company.

Enhanced Rate – This is the rate you will actually receive and reflects the reinvestment of our commission.

Gross Equivalent – This is the gross equivalent of the enhanced rate for a basic rate tax payer, as all GIBs pay returns net of basic rate savings tax.  This enables you to draw comparison with Bank‘s and Building Societies who quote their rates gross.
